Jakarta - The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo, expressed his appreciation for the organisation of the Pocari Sweat Run Lombok 2025 at the Mandalika Circuit, NTB. The Menpora hopes that the event will also be a talent search for Indonesian running athletes.
‘I appreciate Pocari for having been consistent for 12 years in holding events that are mainly about running,’ said Minister of Youth and Sports Dito after attending the Pocari Sweat Run Lombok 2025 Press Conference at Plataran Hutan Kota, GBK Senayan Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/3/2025).
‘So, this event will also be good for talent scouting of potential athletes who participate and it is also good for runners to hone their skills,’ added Menpora Dito.
According to Minister of Youth and Sports Dito, the running event, which provides tickets for 7,000 runners specifically in Lombok, will be a unique and iconic experience because it will pass through the best track, the Mandalika Circuit.
‘This year I have even more appreciation because Pocari is holding another running event and adding more locations. And this is a location that I think is very iconic where runners will get a different experience,’ he said.
‘These runners will pass through and experience running on one of the best asphalt circuits in the world, the Mandalika Circuit, and both Mandalika and Lombok have challenging elevation contours and weather,’ he explained.
The President's Special Envoy for Youth Development and Art Workers Raffi Ahmad, expressed his gratitude for the contribution of Pocari Sweat in supporting the development of Indonesian sport tourism, especially running.
‘Thank you to Pocari Sweat for its contribution to Indonesian sport tourism, where it is one of the biggest running events and has an extraordinary running community,’ he said.
‘For 12 years, Pocari Sweat has done some extraordinary things to promote a healthy lifestyle for Indonesia's younger generation,’ he added.
He continued that for the Pocari Sweat Run 2025, his party was also collaborating with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and Injourney to make Indonesia more famous on the world stage.
‘We are collaborating with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism, Injourney and other UKPs to make Lombok and Indonesia more fragrant and extraordinary on the world stage in the future,’ he concluded.
Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka (Pocari Sweat) Puspita Winawati said that in addition to Bandung this year, the Pocari Sweat Run 2025 will be added to one more city, namely Lombok, NTB.
‘I am very grateful because this event is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Tourism, the UKP, Injourney and RANS. This is an extraordinary moment to work together to support the Pocari Sweat Run Lombok as something new,’ she said at the event, which was also attended by UKP for Tourism Zita Anjani, Deputy Minister of Tourism Vinsen Jemadu, Managing Director of Injourney Maya Watono and CEO of RANS Nagita Slavina.
The 2025 Pocari Sweat Run Lombok will be held on 14 September 2025. Registration opens for 7,000 participants on 15 April 2025. The categories provided are 42K Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 4.3K.
