Regent of North Lombok: Education and Tourism are Our Priorities


North Lombok - The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, officially inaugurated Najmul Akhyar as Regent and Kusmalahadi Syamsuri as Deputy Regent of North Lombok at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (20/2/2025).

Regent Najmul Akhyar stated that his administration had set 99 work agendas listed in the vision and mission of North Lombok development.

‘Our priority is to improve the Human Development Index (HDI) through the education, health and purchasing power sectors,‘ said Najmul.

In addition, the North Lombok Regency Government will encourage the development of the higher education sector and maximise tourism potential to increase the economic impact on the community.

‘We will boost the tourism sector to provide a greater economic impact on the community,’ he added.

Najmul also emphasized his commitment to running a transparent and accountable government, by ensuring good coordination with the Regional Representative Council and all stakeholders.

‘Let's unite again and work with a new spirit for a more developed North Lombok,’ concluded Najmul.

In line with the Regent, Deputy Regent Kusmalahadi Syamsuri emphasized that development in North Lombok must be accelerated through cooperation between the local government and the Regional Representative Council.

‘We will work together with the DPRD to ensure that the vision and mission that have been designed can be properly realised,‘ said Kusmalahadi.

Previously, the President emphasised that regional heads are servants of the people, who must carry out work programmes oriented towards the interests of the community.

‘Our agenda must focus on the people. Regional heads must ensure that the policies taken can improve the welfare of the community,’ said President Prabowo.
